Fuel Your Learning 3

Firstly, thank you to those of you who have been in touch to recommend your own books, podcasts and other learning resources. Its great to hear from other entrepreneurs passionate about furthering their own knowledge and by sharing, everyone wins.

The last Fuel Your Learning blog coincided with National Book Day so rightly we focused on two paper page turners. This time, we will look at other resources slightly less tactile, but no less useful.

1. Podcast: The Start Up Chat with Steli Efti and Hiten Shah
This is one not just for tech entrepreneurs, but anyone in business. These guys have been involved in building a number of multi-million dollar companies (yes, they are American) from the ground up and offer unfiltered, honest and often humorous advice.

The important thing is that all their insights are based around experience, not theory and the realness is refreshing. These guys clearly know their stuff, notably around sales, product and culture and always end the podcast with real actionable take aways.

Each podcast is about 15 - 20 minutes so perfect for bite sized learning on your daily commute. You will find yourself not only listening intently, but typing notes in to your phone to make improvements to the way you work, run your business or develop your product.

2. Website: Re:Work https://rework.withgoogle.com
There's no doubt that Google is the envy of the business world. Not only for its scale, financials, innovation and product range, but also for its culture and processes. This website is a gold mine of practical advice, complete with presentations, help sheets and process docs showcasing the practices and ideas of Google .

This is a people focused resource that will benefit anyone who is focused on making their business/ team a great place to work. Google want to be open about what makes them successful and this is their effort to help companies achieve better working environments with happier, healthier and more productive employees. It also (as you would expect from Google) focuses on how to use data and science to achieve these things, no matter where you call work.

Happy learning and please keep those recommendations coming.
